Dancehall heavyweight Bounty Killer is pushing back against critics who say Reggae is dead.

To prove his point, the veteran artist shared news of YG Marley’s global success with his hit single Praise Jah in the Moonlight, which has officially sold over 5 million units worldwide.

In his Instagram caption, Bounty fired off, “Who did a say Reggae dead again?” He added, “Yeah, and unuh can say it’s because he’s a Marley. Di man song baad nuh brown skirt. Salute to di culture and congratulations @ygmarley @lionorder.”

As of May 28, Praise Jah in the Moonlight — which samples his grandfather Bob Marley’s song Crisis — stands as one of the most successful Reggae singles in recent years.

In related news, Mavado, Masicka, and Aidonia have been added to Bounty Killer’s highly anticipated first U.S. concert at the Barclays Center in New York on July 5.
