The Reggae Boyz notched their first win in Group C of the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup when they got the better of Guadeloupe 2-1 on Friday night at the Paypal Park to move to three points in the standings.
Jamaica recovered from their opening 1-0 defeat to Guatemala and returned to winning ways following strikes from Leon Bailey in the 41st minute and Jonathan Russell in first half added time.
It was a come-from-behind victory for the Boyz as Guadeloupe had opened the scoring through Thierry Ambrose in the 32nd minute.
Jamaica will close out their group campaign against Panama on Tuesday and will be hopeful of a favourable result to advance to the knockout rounds.
