Carib Brewery has announced the signing of West Indies cricketers Dwayne Bravo and Nicholas Pooran as brand ambassadors for Carib Lager as the company marks its 75th anniversary.
The official signing took place on Tuesday at the Champ Fleurs Brewery. The event formed part of the company’s celebrations and highlighted the brand’s continuing partnership with cricket in the Caribbean.
Managing Director of Carib Brewery Trinidad and Tobago David Welch delivered the keynote address. He welcomed Bravo and Pooran, stating that both players embody the values of Carib Lager and represent the Caribbean internationally.
Welch said the cricketers, like Carib Lager, bring flair and confidence to their fields of play, while carrying the heartbeat of the region wherever they go.
Carib Lager has maintained a longstanding association with cricket, including its partnership with the Trinbago Knight Riders franchise in the Caribbean Premier League. The company has positioned cricket as part of its brand identity, emphasizing unity and celebration.
Head of Brand Marketing at Carib Brewery Antron Forte also addressed the ceremony. He said Bravo and Pooran were ideal choices for this partnership, given their roles in representing Caribbean identity and pride.
The partnership comes as Carib Lager continues to expand internationally. The beer is now available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and India.
Through this collaboration, Carib Brewery aims to strengthen its global presence by aligning sport, culture, and Caribbean representation with its brand.
