Briceño Cousins Deny Selling Speednet Shares to Lord Ashcroft

Jaime and Renan Briceño have issued a joint statement denying a claim circulating on social media that they have sold their Speednet shares to Lord Michael Ashcroft.  The statement, issued today, describes the allegation as false and misleading. The business partners, say neither of them has sold shares to Lord Ashcroft, whether directly or indirectly.  The Briceno cousins are now calling on those responsible for circulating the information to retract it and issue a public apology and correction. They also urged members of the public and the media to verify claims before repeating or publishing them.  They further indicated that they are reserving their legal rights and may pursue remedies against anyone who publishes or republishes what they describe as defamatory statements.
