Brigadier General Azariel Loria Inducted Into NDU Hall of Fame

Belize’s Brigadier General Azariel Loria has been inducted into the National Defense University’s International Fellows Hall of Fame.  The ceremony took place in Seoul, South Korea, during the university’s 2026 Alumni Continuing Education Seminar, held from August 31 through to September 4.  Loria was recognized for his contributions to Belize’s national defence and his leadership in strengthening the country’s security and defence capabilities. A graduate of the College of International Security Affairs, Class of 2009, he was inducted by National Defense University President Vice Admiral Peter Garvin.  Loria was honoured alongside Vice Admiral Juan Bienvenido Crisóstomo Martínez of the Dominican Republic and Brigadier General Simon Ndour of Senegal. Their induction brought the Hall of Fame’s membership to one hundred and two international alumni.  The Hall of Fame recognizes NDU graduates who have attained senior positions and made significant contributions to government, national defence and international security.
