One of the Caribbean diaspora’s most popular annual events in the United States is preparing for a major celebration as BRT Weekend gets set to mark its 10th anniversary in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from July 10 to 12.

The beachside entertainment series will feature five events across three days, bringing together a mix of Dancehall, Reggae and Soca acts. Organisers have assembled a line-up that includes Sizzla, Beenie Man, Aidonia, Valiant, Gyptian, Elephant Man, Lady Lava, Armanii, Skeng, Chronic Law, Skippa, Nigy Boy, YG Marley, Zion Marley etc. Music icon Ms. Lauryn Hill is also scheduled to make a special appearance during the closing event.

The weekend will conclude with the BRT All White Grand Finale on Sunday night, where YG Marley and Zion Marley will headline. The event is expected to be one of the biggest attractions of the anniversary staging, especially with Lauryn Hill listed as a featured guest.

Activities begin on Friday with Midnight in Tokyo, featuring performances from Sizzla, Gyptian, Aidonia, Valiant and Nigy Boy. Saturday’s daytime event, Xtreme Beach Bounce, will showcase Elephant Man, Lady Lava, Skeng and Scale Baby.

Later that evening, patrons will head into City of Gold, where Beenie Man tops the bill alongside Chronic Law, Skippa and Armanii. On Sunday, the festivities continue with the Jouvert Paint & Water Fete, featuring Soca performers Yung Bredda, Voice, V’ghn and Problem Child.

Tickets for the anniversary edition are already on sale through the event’s official website. The three-day general admission package, which grants access to all five events, is priced at US$255 before additional fees. Patrons seeking an upgraded experience can purchase the VIP package for US$495, which includes priority entry, complimentary Caribbean food throughout the weekend and a VIP gift package.

Single-day options are also available, allowing attendees to choose between Friday’s Midnight in Tokyo, Saturday’s combination of Beach Bounce and City of Gold, or Sunday’s Jouvert and All White finale.

Over the years, BRT Weekend has grown into one of the most recognised Caribbean-themed event series in North America, attracting patrons from across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Europe.
