Chief Executive Officer of the Belize Telecommunication limited, Ivan Tesucum has been put on 10 days leave after an alleged complaint of sexual harassment against him was lodged in August. LOVE NEWS understands that during a business trip, Tesucum allegedly made unwanted advances on a woman manager who is no longer employed by BTL. We’re reliably informed that Tesucum is not on leave because of the sexual harassment issue as bolstered by an employee bulletin titled: “Update on Accusation against Senior Executive of BTL” released by the Human Resource Department. The release says: “The board has addressed a related matter which warranted disciplinary action and has given due consideration to the CEOs response to the allegation, in accordance with his right to due process.” The bulletin says that Tesucum’s 10 – working day period ends on Friday, November 14.
