KINGSTON, Jamaica — U.S.-based producer and recording artist BL Tha Hook Slayer has teamed up with reggae icons Buju Banton and Capleton for a Latin remix of their hit track This Is How We Roll. The remix, featuring Honduran Latin artist Fresh Bodden, is currently being filmed in Jamaica and is expected to take the already successful song to new heights.

“The original version of the song came about after linking with Capleton, and we discussed having Buju on it,” BL Tha Hook Slayer explained during a media interview on set in Kingston on Tuesday. “We then forwarded the track to Buju, and he came and killed the track. They felt the flow of the record so much that they added a third verse. The song has done extremely well, and now we’re doing a video for the Latin remix.”

The producer described the collaboration as a dream come true.
“It was incredible working with Buju and Capleton,” he said. “Both were musical idols of mine while I was in high school, so to be able to work with them was a special moment. We’ve built a great relationship and look forward to working on other projects in the future.”

Explaining his decision to create a Latin remix, BL Tha Hook Slayer credited his manager and a Colombian producer for introducing him to Fresh Bodden.
“I didn’t know much about him initially, but after getting in the studio, I learned how organically he built a large audience for himself,” he said. “Being a Latin artist from Honduras made it even more special for me.”

The remix video is being shot across Kingston and Ocho Rios by RSK Fama Video Production out of the Dominican Republic.

For Fresh Bodden, this project marks his first visit to Jamaica — a lifelong dream.
Through an interpreter, he shared, “What I enjoy most about being in Jamaica is the culture and the vibe. It has been a dream of mine since I was a child to visit the land of reggae music.”

He recalled that his love for reggae began with his father, who worked on a cruise line and frequently brought home music from Jamaican artists.
“Growing up, I listened to Shaggy, Sean Paul, Buju, Ninjaman, and TOK. They were my inspiration,” said Bodden, who has also previously collaborated with Mr. Vegas.

With its fusion of dancehall, reggae, and Latin rhythms, the This Is How We Roll remix is poised to appeal to an even wider international audience when released.
