REGGAE GIRL Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw is the new owner of the Manchester City number-nine jersey for the upcoming 2025-26 Barclays Women’s Super League season.

The Jamaican, who joined the club in 2021 and quickly became one of the most prolific strikers in the league, earning multiple accolades, including becoming City’s top goalscorer during its professional era, will make the switch from wearing number 21.

“Perfection,” posted Mancitywomen’s Instagram page under a video with Shaw doing a transition of jerseys.

Shaw’s impressive run at the club includes finding the net 91 times in just 106 appearances and winning the WSL Golden Boot in each of the last two seasons.

To add to that, she holds the record for the most goals across a single season, scoring 31 times in 30 appearances in 2022-23.

Shaw becomes the fourth player to wear the Jersey since the club’s official relaunch in 2014.

Former English footballer Toni Duggan, German forward Pauline Bremer, and British player Chloe Kelly preceded Shaw as the club’s number-nines.

Shaw is also the golden boot winner in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2024-25 season.
