Bunting Criticises Govt for Attending Wellesley Bolt’s Funeral

Opposition senator, Peter Bunting, has criticised the government for attending the funeral service for the father of sprint legend Usain Bolt.

Wellesley Bolt died on March 31 this year.

Senator Bunting was speaking at the KnockPatrick divisional conference in Manchester on Sunday.

The funeral service was held at the Falmouth Seventh Day Adventist Church in Trelawny. Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness and other members of the government were in attendance.

People’s National Party caretaker for Northern Trelawny, Dr. Wykeham McNeill, and opposition spokesperson on local government, Natalie Neita Garvey, were also in attendance.

Usain Bolt thanked the prime minister and members of his cabinet for their presence.
