Burglars Target Lord’s Bank Home, Jewelry and Electronics Stolen

Police are investigating a burglary reported on Sunday, January 11, at a residence on Nim Li Punit Street in the BDF Housing Site area of Lord’s Bank Village, Belize District.  According to police, information was received around 10:00 a.m. of a burglary at the home of 38-year-old Delroy Williams, a Belizean and employee of Belize Water Services. CIB personnel responded to the scene, where Williams reported that sometime between 4:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on the same day, his blue concrete bungalow was burglarized.  Stolen from the home were a navy-blue Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone valued at $300, a 10-karat gold necklace valued at $2,000, a black PlayStation 4 console valued at $800, a dark-blue wireless PS4 controller valued at $150, and $300 in cash. The total estimated value of the items stolen is $3,550 Belize currency.  Police say there were no signs of forced entry into the house; however, damage was observed on the front burglar bar door sieve just above the deadbolt lock. The area was canvassed but no useful information was obtained.
