The burnt body discovered in Princes Town almost two months ago has been identified as missing 31-year-old Jeremy David, police have confirmed.
The remains were found by a 50-year-old gardener who had gone to the area to pick chadon beni around 8 am on June 3, off the Buen Intento Road.
The body was found 200 feet from the road.
David’s mother and other relatives were at the scene, but they declined to comment.
David and his vehicle—a silver-grey Toyota Fielder wagon—had not been seen since May 30, 2025.
His mother, Annette Ramkissoon, had reported that he had left their La Romaine home around 10 am on that day, and that since then, she had been unable to contact him on his mobile phone.
David was employed as a manager at the Diego Martin Regional Corporation. He was the son of Jerry David, a senior disaster management coordinator at the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government.
An autopsy was done on June 24, but the cause of the death was undetermined due to advanced state of decomposition, police said.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 3 are investigating.
