Cadiz nets 5 in Ball Blasters’ 11-2 TFA Prem win

Teejay Cadiz netted a handful of goals as Ball Blasters took advantage of a short-handed Goal City to record an 11-2 win in the Tobago Football Association Premier Division at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet on Sunday.

Cadiz got his name on the scoresheet in the 34th, 37th, 45+2’, 71st, and 83rd minutes, while Enlil O’Brien (eighth, 58th) and Ammari Alleyne (45th, 49th) added two goals each in the most lopsided result of the season to date.

There were also goals each from Terrelle Collins (30th) and Jabarie McMillan (43rd) for Ball Blasters, who led 7-2 at the half-time interval with Goal City getting first-half efforts from Juvani Thomas in the 11th and Joshua Roberts in the 42nd.

With the win, Ball Blasters stayed top of the ten-club standings with a maximum of six points, the same as Stokely Vale FC and Sidey’s FC.

Also on Sunday, Stokely Vale registered a come-from-behind 6-2 thrashing of Signal Hill United at Bacolet, with Lashawn Roberts getting himself two goals, firstly in the 11th minute and then a 70th-minute penalty.

The quarter of Jalen Quashie (22nd), L’Che Roberts (24th), Raevion Marshall (40th), and JaCorey Julien (76th) added one each after Signal Hill had taken a sixth-minute lead through Darreon Moses, while former national striker Trevin Caesar added a late second in the 80th.

On Friday at Bacolet, defending champions, Georgia FC, got their first win of the season, 2-1 over Carnbee/Mt Pleasant, with Andre Lewis scoring in the 34th and Kishawn Sandy in the 89th for the winners, while Carnbee/Mt Pleasant got a late item through Kerron Arthur in the 90+4.

Sidey’s FC was also in the winners’ row for the second time this season on Friday, 1-0 over Leeds United, with Henson Charles netting the decisive item in the 52nd.

On Saturday, Charlotteville Police Youth Club and the Roxborough Lakers battled to a 1-1 draw in their Premier Division meeting at Speyside Recreation Ground, while FC Goodwood and Bertille St Clair Soccer Academy also drew 1-1 in the Championship Division at Mt St George.
