Jamaica’s Olympic Games shot put bronze medallist Rajindra Campbell says he was not among the Jamaican athletes who had a stream of financial contribution from the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association, JAAA.

During Monday’s launch of the National Junior and Senior Championships, JAAA treasurer Ludlow Watts says over the past decade, the association made shelled out over $100 million in financial support.

However, Campbell in talking with the Coaches Desk TV YouTube Channel highlighted at least two occasions in 2024 which he was given a stipend.

Campbell says the athletes who live and train in Jamaica are the ones who get the lion’s share of the JAAA funding.
