Canopy Insurance Limited, one of Jamaica’s premier life and health insurers, has partnered with MDLink Group Limited (MDLink), a leader in telemedicine solutions across the Caribbean, to provide all Canopy members with free tele-consult therapy sessions in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month.
Through the sessions scheduled for May 26 and 28, active members will have the opportunity to connect with licensed mental health professionals for confidential, virtual therapy sessions, empowering them to prioritise their mental well-being.
“At Canopy, we recognise the importance of holistic healthcare, which includes addressing mental and emotional needs,” Oliver Tomlinson, CEO of Canopy Insurance Limited, said in a release. “By partnering with MDLink, we are making it easier for our members to access professional mental health support and resources. This is just one of the many ways we are enhancing the customer experience and providing value-added benefits to our members.”
MDLink offers a comprehensive suite of healthcare solutions, including telemedicine, diagnostic laboratory testing, concierge/home care and pharmacy.
The release notes that MDLink’s user-friendly telemedicine platform allows patients to conveniently schedule appointments, consult with doctors, and receive treatment recommendations, all from the comfort of their own homes.
“We are excited to collaborate with Canopy Insurance to promote mental health awareness and provide accessible support to their members,” said Dr Che Bowen, CEO of MDLink. “Telehealth has become an invaluable tool for addressing the mental health needs of individuals, especially in the wake of the pandemic. This partnership is a testament to Canopy’s commitment to the well-being of its customers.”
