Caribbean Agribusinesses Invited to Pitch for Investment at Regional Forum

Agribusinesses across the Caribbean, including those in Belize, are being invited to apply for an opportunity to connect with investors and expand their businesses through the Caribbean Investment Forum 2026. The initiative is being offered by the International Trade Centre through its Alliances for Action programme and is aimed at investment-ready companies seeking to attract financing and build new business partnerships. The forum is scheduled to take place in Bridgetown, Barbados, from October 5 to 7, and will bring together investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from across the region. Organizers say the event will focus on sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, food security, the green economy, digital transformation, and improvements in logistics and transportation.  The programme is targeting businesses operating in sectors including cocoa, the blue economy and artisanal fisheries, roots and tubers, fruits and vegetables, and sargassum. Companies selected to participate will receive preparation, training, coaching, registration for the three-day forum, business-to-business meetings with investors, as well as accommodation and meals in accordance with United Nations rates.  Applicants are expected to demonstrate that they are investment-ready by providing business plans, financial information, communications materials, and a commitment to completing the preparatory process ahead of the forum.  The application period closes on July 19, and interested businesses are encouraged to submit an expression of interest before the deadline.
