Fashion and cultural experts from T&T and Canada are joining forces to celebrate Caribbean creativity, culture, and sustainable design, with a spotlight on both local and international designers.

On August 24, the Garden Theatre at Queen’s Hall will come alive with Evolution of Fashion – Trinidad and Tobago Edition—a high-energy runway showcase, artisanal market, and culture-inspired collaborations.

“Evolution of Fashion is more than a show—it’s a cultural exchange that amplifies Caribbean creativity for the world to see,” said Ain Earle-Williams, founder of The Fashion Arch.

“This year’s Trinidad and Tobago Edition bridges our local talent with an international stage, creating opportunities for exposure, collaboration, and cultural pride.”

The one-night event is produced by Ottawa-based Evolution Cultural Entertainment, coordinated locally by creative brand consultancy The Fashion Arch, and hosted by stylist and creative director Keylon Whitlock.

“Evolution of Fashion is run by a community organisation made up of young people in Ottawa, Canada,” Earle-Williams explained.

“The aim is to create spaces for emerging designers to showcase diverse creativity in different global communities, Trinidad and Tobago being one of them.”

Through The Fashion Arch, Earle-Williams has been championing Caribbean designers, artisans, and creative entrepreneurs by building brand awareness, connecting them to international markets, and producing high-impact cultural events. She described this year’s event as an opportunity for a professional artistic presentation of locally made designs.

“This high-energy cultural fashion experience will bring together nine local and regional designers—three from Ottawa, one from The Bahamas, four from Trinidad, and one from Tobago. Each will present collections that fuse tradition with contemporary flair,” she said.

“The evening promises to be a sensory journey through Caribbean identity, craftsmanship, and style—one that is forging a new creative movement in the region.”

Beyond the runway, the event includes a networking session where designers can interact with buyers and take orders after the show.

“Beyond being a fashion show, this event is a cultural exchange platform that connects designers to new markets, fosters cross-border collaborations, and highlights the richness of Caribbean creativity on an international stage,” Earle-Williams added.

Sustainability is at the heart of the event. Guests can expect a vibrant showcase of local creativity, including unique items, handmade treasures, and fashion pieces that combine innovation with responsible design. Evolution of Fashion also aligns with The Fashion Arch’s mission of supporting creative entrepreneurs in sustainable brand strategy and market access.
