Caribbean Leaders Commit to Collaboration as Good Deeds Day Conference Closes

The Good Deeds Day Caribbean Leadership Conference wrapped up yesterday, with a commitment from participants for further collaboration. The conference, which opened on Monday night, gathered 20 delegates from countries across the Caribbean who are engaged in volunteerism and community outreach. The four-day event was a platform for participants to share ideas, experiences, and develop ways to enhance their collective impact. Diane Felicien, Caribbean Region Leader, Good Deeds Day, says that a key overlapping theme among participants was the shared experience of crime in Caribbean countries.

Tamicia V.A. Lestrade, Participant, St. Kitts & Nevis, said that a major takeaway from the conference was the need for proper documentation.

The opening ceremony for the conference was held at Old Belize on Monday night, while the conference itself and the closing ceremony were held at the Biltmore Plaza.
