Cavalier in Must-Win Showdown Against Haitian Club

Defending champions Cavalier could be facing a must win situation tonight when they take on Haiti’s Juvenus Des Cayes at Sabina Park in their second round Caribbean Club Championship encounter starting at 7

After losing their first round encounter 2-nil to Cibao, anything but a win could push the reigning national champions into a tricky situation.

Sporting Director Rudolph Speid, says it’s no secret that the club suffered massive losses in the transfer window of some of their more senior players.

But he is hoping his young players will grab the opportunity to cement a spot in the regular playing eleven.

Meanwhile Mount Pleasant, after bowing out at the group stages of last season’s competition, registered their second victory in as many games following their 2-nil victory over Dominican Republic’s Moca F.C.

Mount Pleasant were led by a brace from striker Daniel Green who scored in the 31st and 60th minute for the Theodore Whitmore-coached team.
