Defending champions Cavalier gave up an 18th minute lead and had to settle for a 1-all draw with Haiti’s Juventus Des Cayes in the Caribbean Club Championship at Sabina Park on Thursday-night.
Cavalier took the through Shamar Watson on minute 18 but Peterson Seidi earned Des Cayes a share of the points with a 77th minute equalizer.
Sporting Director at Cavalier Rudolph Speid, believes his team’s profligacy in front of goal cost them their first victory.
The draw left Cavalier in fourth place in Group B on one point from their two games, one place lower than Juventus, who are also only on one point from two games.
Speid says Cavalier will now need to win all of their remaining fixtures and hope some results go their way if they are to make it through the group stage.
