Technical director of Cavalier, Rudolph Speid, says his team worked hard to secure a top two finish in the preliminary round of the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League.
Cavalier finished second with 54 points from 26 starts.
They gained the second place following their 6-0 whipping of Molynes United and Tivoli Gardens’ 2-1 defeat against Montego Bay United in the final round of the preliminary round.
Speid says making the top two helps them to avoid the quarterfinals.
He dismissed the myth that teams that finish in the top two will find it difficult to win the league.
