Central American Table Tennis Championship Begins in Belize 

Young athletes from across the region are competing in the 2025 Central American U11 and U13 Table Tennis Championships. The tournament, which officially began today, runs until August 9 and features six days of high-energy action, sportsmanship, and rising talent. This is the first time Belize is hosting the regional championship, and the spotlight is firmly on the country’s growing presence in the sport. Love News spoke with President of the Belize Table Tennis Association, Arturo Vasquez who elaborated on what that means for Belize. 

Table tennis may be a fast-paced, compact sport, but its impact is growing in Belize. We spoke with two youngsters who told us what their favorite parts of the sport are. 

The winners will be announced on Saturday.
