Dancehall artiste Cerine Rage is calling for more support for the victims of domestic violence and is also urging the powers that be to implement harsher penalties for acts of violence against women. The beautiful singjay is using her platform to advocate for battered women because she wants to provide a voice for women who often feel helpless while enduring abusive situations.

“I see myself as the voice for the voiceless. I want to be an agent of change as it relates to domestic violence because di man dem a killl off too much a we and it nuh mek nuh sense we continue to choose to be victims. As women, we have to stand together and say no to domestic abuse. Even if we are not directly affected by domestic abuse, it is a real issue in our society today and one that must be approached with urgency,” stated Cerine Rage.
