Captain Rashada Williams, with a top scored of 86, led defending champions Jamaica to 257 for 9 in the 50 overs against the Leeward Islands in their fourth round regional women’s super 50 encounter at Warner Park in St. Kitts.
Williams hit eight fours as the Jamaicans, sent to bat first, made a strong start. Jodian Morgan, 35 put on a 77 run second wicket partnership with Williams.
Abigail Bryce slammed 72 and shared in an 82 run fifth wicket stand with Williams.
Kimberley Antony and Amanda Edwards bagged two wickets each.
Meanwhile, leaders Barbados were bowled out for 76 in 40 overs against Trinidad and Tobago who were 14 without loss after 6 overs in reply in their game at St. Paul’s.
