SEVERAL business chambers have shared congratulations to the Tobago People’s Party who swept the THA elections, 15-0, and fully ousted the PNM party which, up to the THA election on January 12, had only one seat.

The TT Chamber of Industry and Commerce in its release congratulated the party on its victory.

“The TT Chamber joins the national community in acknowledging the results of the concluded Tobago House of Assembly elections. We congratulate the Tobago People’s Party (TPP) and all newly-elected assembly members on their victory.

“The chamber also commends the people of Tobago for exercising their democratic right and participating peacefully in the electoral process. The TT Chamber, via our Tobago Division, will continue to work in the best interest of TT.”

The TT Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI) expressed congratulations to political leader Farley Augustine.

“Your dedication and hard work over the past four years coupled with your steadfast commitment to the people of Tobago and all stakeholders, have undoubtedly led to this well-deserved victory,” the TTCSI said. “This new mandate presents a valuable opportunity to build upon your achievements and continue advancing Tobago toward its full potential.”

The TTCSI said it looks forward to deepening collaborations with the THA in 2026 and beyond.

CEO of the TT Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) Ramesh Ramdeen also shared congratulations to the TPP for its resounding success at the polls.

“Their mandate is clear, which is to lead Tobago to levels of prosperity and growth that would redound to the people of Tobago and Trinidad. The association looks forward to continue working with the THA to promote the non-energy sector trade in Tobago as has been done in the past.”
