Champions Liverpool opens EPL campaign with 4-2 win

Liverpool opened the defense of their English Premier League title with an exciting 4-2 win over Bournemouth at Anfield.

The Reds were 2-nil up after 60 minutes through goals from Hugo Ekitike who signed in the summer and Cody Gakpo.

However, Bournemouth stormed back to draw level with a pair of goals from Antoine Semenyo, however the game was put to bed with two quick strikes from Fedrico Chiesa and Mo Salah.

The game was stopped in the first half after Semenyo reported being racially abused by someone in the crowd.

An anti-discrimination message was read out to the crowd at half time.
