Champs 2026 | JC’s Makaelan Woods and Calabar’s Diwayne Sharpe eyeing gold in respective 400m final

Jamaica College’s (JC) Makaelan Woods clocked 46.39 seconds to lead all qualifiers into the final of the Boys’ Class One 400m at the ISSA GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium. Woods, who will start as the favourite for gold, is expected to face strong competition from William Knibb Memorial High’s Jabari Matheson (46.54), Fogo Road High’s Paul Henry (46.72), Hydel High’s Junior Galimore (46.76), Titchfield High’s Nishawn Walker (46.88), JC’s Omary Robinson (46.90), and Kingston College’s Jabulani McLeod (46.80).
