Chantelle Swaby in danger of missing Women’s World Cup

RJRGleaner Sports understands that experienced Reggae Girlz defender Chantelle Swaby is in danger of missing next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup if Jamaica qualifies for the global showpiece. The 28-year-old sustained an injury to her right Achilles during the Reggae Girlz’s 3-1 defeat to Mexico in an away friendly international on Tuesday and could be sidelined for an extended period. Swaby was carried off the field after suffering the injury in the second half.
