Meet Rachel Henry, a passionate creative entrepreneur dedicated to celebrating Caribbean culture and empowering youth. A recent graduate of the University of the West Indies, Henry has launched the Caribbean’s first themed online interactive activity book, Crazy About the Caribbean.

This exciting book is designed for children aged seven and up, allowing them to explore their heritage through 101+ engaging activities!

Packed with fun mazes, craft projects, recipes, picture riddles, and colouring pages, the scan-tivity book offers a vibrant experience that showcases the rich history, natural wonders, music, sports, and proverbs of the Caribbean. Each activity is crafted to spark enthusiasm for the culture, with clear instructions that enable kids to enjoy most tasks independently.

One of the book’s unique features is the inclusion of scannable QR codes. Kids can use their mobile devices or tablets to scan these codes, leading them to videos and online activities that complement the topics in the book. This blend of hands-on learning and technology promotes a positive and interactive educational experience.

Young readers are already sharing their excitement! Nine-year-old Nicholas Jagram exclaimed, “I was all smiles as I scanned page after page of my Crazy about the Caribbean Scan-tivity Book. With every page and every scan, a new adventure!”

The book also features a delightful mom-and-daughter duo, Alawra King and Akklia Charles-King, who enjoyed the Sucker Bag Tutorial, and young actor Hajari Davis from Tobago, who stars in a fun video making traditional tamarind balls.

Henry’s mission is to inspire healthy lifestyles and cultural sensitivity through the arts, highlighting the beauty of Caribbean heritage. With Crazy About the Caribbean, children can embark on a journey of discovery and creativity, all while having fun!
