On Thursday, Chronic Law released the music video for his song Loveless. The deejay previously released the official audio for the song, one of several singles featured on the Red Fyah Riddim, in May.

Loveless‘s music video features several shots of Chronic Law solo on the streets of Babylon in Suffolk County, New York, in the United States, underscoring the themes of isolation in the song’s lyrics. The Top Shootah-directed music video also depicts a storyline showcasing the downfall of a friendship due to greed and betrayal.

In the video, a man’s trust in his friends is proven to be misplaced when they plot against him. This ultimately leads him to turn to violence.

The music video mirrors Chronic Law’s lyrics, with the artiste expressing the darkness that has taken hold of his heart because of betrayal. In the song’s chorus, the deejay questions how someone can ever love or place their trust in anyone again after they have seen their friends become enemies.

“Mi wah know how mi fi trust? How mi fi love? How mi fi trust? How mi fi love? And who mi fi trust? Dah heart yah corrupt. Law get enough. Tell me, how mi fi love? How mi fi trust? Seh dem loyal, a trick enuh. Tell mi, how me fi trust? How mi fi love?” Chronic Law sings in chorus of the song.

Loveless was produced by Romeich Major and Slyda Di Wizard, and has so far acquired over 44, 000 views on YouTube.
