Reggae artiste Chuck Fenda made a triumphant return to Victoria Square in Birmingham, England on August 10, when he headlined the Jamaica 0121 Festival, with close to 40,000 people in attendance.

It was a hero's welcome that he didn't expect after last being in the city more than a decade ago.

"Returning to Birmingham after 13 years was one of the most amazing feelings that I have ever experienced. To see thousands of people in attendance, watching you perform, singing the songs word for word, is awesome. Give God the glory," said Chuck Fenda.

His set included his well-known hits, including Coming Over Tonight, which was produced by Christopher Birch, the Shane Brown-produced Gash Dem and Light Dem, as well as I Swear and Mama, both of which were produced by Fifth Element.

"They (promoters) gave me about 40 minutes to perform and, around 20 minutes into the performance, a different feeling came over me while I was performing the song, Mama. Knowing that I don't know my parents from when I was a child growing up, I got so emotional," Chuck Fenda said. Performing the song was one of the high points of his performance.

"Singing the song Mama and hearing the audience chanting your name requesting you to come back on stage to perform like they don't want you to leave, were standout moments for me," said Chuck Fenda.
