Romone Spence scored 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Matthew McGowan picked up 13 points to guide CMU to a 58-43 win over Swift Sons in game-1 of their best of three GK ONE/SDF Howard McCatty Community Basketball League at Mico College court, Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, the home team, Mico Wasp beat Blazing Panthers 73-67 in the first game of their best of three series.

Tyrese Spence led the scoring for the Wasp with 17 points, with Nikolai Brown scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Over at the Exed Court, Papine Kings take a 1-nil lead in their best of three series after a 72-69 win over the Harbour View Supernovas.

Shaquille Allen scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the Kings, while Brendan Dawkins had 18 points.

On their home court, Exed Heats beat Police 74-54.
