Cricket West Indies’ director of cricket, Miles Bascombe, says Jamaica’s Andre Coley is the front runner to be appointed head coach of the West Indies “A” team.
Coley was replaced by Darren Sammy as head coach of the red ball team at the end of the two-Test tour of Pakistan which ended 1-1, last month.
That tour brought an end to a challenging tenure for Coley, who failed to win a single Test series during his 20 months in charge.
Coley was appointed in May 2023.
Speaking on the Cricket Forum, Bascombe says Coley is a professional whose main desire is toke make the West Indies great again.
