Social commentator Sandre Rhoden, says Marisa Dalrymple-Philibert’s return as the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP’s, presumptive candidate for the upcoming by-election in South Trelawny, is a strategic move by the party.
Rhoden was speaking on Nationwide at Five on Wednesday.

The by-election in South Trelawny is set for November 22.
Mrs. Dalrymple-Philibert resigned as member of parliament for the constituency last September.
Her resignation followed a report from the Integrity Commission which recommended that charges be laid against her for making false declarations about her ownership of a motor vehicle.
That matter is still before the courts.
Speaking at Wednesday’s post-cabinet media briefing, Prime Minister Andrew Holness says Dalrymple-Philibert was reinstated as the JLP’s caretaker due to the demand from constituents.
