Construction Worker Shot in Unitedville Ambush, Listed in Stable Condition

Police say shots rang out in Unitedville Village, Cayo District, leaving Kevin Trapp, a construction worker injured. Trapp was ambushed on his way home. He was rushed to the San Ignacio Hospital by a family member, where he is now listed as stable. 

ASP Stacy Smith: “This shooting incident resulted in the injury of Kevin Trapp, a 38-year-old Belizean construction worker of that village. So far, what we know is that Trapp was on board his vehicle and near the community centre in that area when he was fired upon by a male person which resulted in the injury that he sustained. Police have detained one person of interest in relation to this incident and are following up on a number of investigative leads.”
