The contractor engaged to Pratville Primary School in South Manchester, Karl Robinson, has revealed that he’s a former activist and member of the PNP.
Mr. Robinson has been at the centre of controversy after Opposition Senator, Peter Bunting, said he was not paid for works done on Pratville Primary School.
He’s rejected Senator Bunting’s claims.
But he’s concerned that persons in the Ministry of Education are leaking his private financial information.
Mahiri Stewart reports.
Senator Peter Bunting has accused the government of contributing to delays in the completion of construction works at Pratville Primary School in South Manchester.
Bunting, who is the PNP caretaker for South Manchester, told the Senate last Friday that the contractor on the project, Karl Robinson, had stopped working because he had not been paid.
But Mr. Robinson says that is false.
Speaking on the Jamaica Politics Uncovered YouTube show on the weekend, Mr. Robinson disclosed that the government does not owe him a cent.
He explained that work at the school was not halted and instead was delayed by a lack of material.
But another twist in the saga emerged on Monday.
Mr. Robinson revealed on Cliff Hughes Online that he’s a former member and activist of the PNP.
According to Mr. Robinson, he stopped supporting the PNP following Lisa Hanna’s defeat by Mark Golding in the party’s leadership election in 2020.
He also told Cliff Hughes that the false claims made by Senator Bunting have put his business under scrutiny.
