Police shot and killed a pit bull after the dog attacked them as they entered a yard in Arouca to conduct a search on Monday afternoon.
Police said officers of the North-Central Division Task Force (NCDTF) East visited a house Manimore Road, Five Rivers, around 12.30 pm.
As they walked into the yard, the officers reported that they were attacked by seven dogs, three of which were pit bulls.
Two of the officers shot one of the pit bulls, killing it, while the remaining pack of dogs ran away.
The officers met with the owner of the house, who was suspected of storing guns and searched the house, but nothing illegal was found
