The Office of the Governor General has clarified that the correct information bearing the date of the upcoming General Election was sent to the official entities.
This after a picture emerged of the official proclamation,which incorrectly listed the election date as Thursday, September 3.
The incorrect day appeared to have also been published on follow-up communication signed by the Governor General’s Secretary.
The election is actually Wednesday, September 3.
The Governor General is cautioning against sharing misrepresented information which could cause confusion in the electoral process.
