Councillor for the Craighead division in North East Manchester, Omar Miller, says the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, base in the constituency is fired up and ready to go.
Miller, and Holmwood Technical High School principal, Hidran McKulsky, were vying to represent the constituency in the next general election.
But the party’s leadership has announced Senator Audrey Marks as the prospective candidate. Miller and McKulsky have vowed to support her.
According to Miller, the People’s National Party doesn’t stand a chance of taking the seat, despite its control of the Christiana and Walderston divisions.
