Crawford Questions JLP Court Record After McKenzie Files Defamation Suit

Opposition Spokesman on Education, Senator Damion Crawford, has responded sharply to a lawsuit that was filed against him by local government minister and Jamaica Labour Party deputy leader, Desmond McKenzie.

McKenzie’s claim centres on statements made at a People’s National Party, PNP, meeting at the Portmore Community College on March 2, 2025.

According to the claim, statements at the meeting contained words that were false and defamatory, as a result of which, McKenzie suffered injury, loss and damage.

But speaking at a PNP meeting in South East St. Catherine last Friday, Senator Crawford, sought to dismiss the court action.
