After setting two world records in the Men’s 50-Metres Freestyle at the recent World Aquatics Swimming Championships in Budapest, Jordan Crooks of the Cayman Islands won gold in the finals.
His winning time was 20.19 seconds.
Crooks is now etched in history for being the only person ever to swim sub-20 earlier in the event and the first person from the Cayman Islands to win gold.
Crooks set two world records on his way to the gold.
The Caymanian won his heat in a record 20-point-08 seconds, before lowering the record further after winning the semi-final in 19-point-19 seconds.
