Cuban Ambassador Visits National Assembly to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Cuba’s Ambassador to Belize, Her Excellency Yahima Martínez Millán, paid a courtesy visit to the National Assembly of Belize today.  She was welcomed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries. The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding friendship and cooperation that Belize and Cuba have enjoyed over the years. Discussions focused on the importance of maintaining strong bilateral ties and continuing collaboration in areas of mutual interest.  Belize and Cuba have shared a close relationship for decades, particularly in the fields of healthcare, education, and technical cooperation. Hundreds of Belizeans have benefited from educational opportunities in Cuba, while Cuban professionals have contributed significantly to national development efforts.
