Cyclist killed in accident with motorcyclist

A man riding a bicycle, who is believed to be a Venezuelan national, was killed in an accident in Central Trinidad in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to police reports, around 12:40 am on Saturday, a motorcyclist was heading east along Bejucal Road, Cunupia, when he crashed into the cyclist.

Police said at the time of the accident, the deceased was leaving the car park of Friends Bar.

Both men were taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where the cyclist died while being treated.

Investigations continue.
