Dacres Confident of Reaching World Championship Qualifying Mark

Men’s discus thrower, four-time national champion, Fedrick Dacres has until August 24th to meet the Tokyo World Championships qualifying mark.

Dacres season best is 63.54 metres.

Dacres finished last month’s national trials in fourth. But the veteran thrower says he’s still fully confident in his ability to meet the mark despite the World Championships being just 54 days away.

The 2019 World Championships silver medalist, says he and his team has had to withdraw from several events because he doesn’t believe he’s where he needs to be.

However, he’s eyeing the NACAC Championships in Freeport, Bahamas set August 15-17 to kickstart the preparation work needed for the World Championships.

Dacres, who has had his fair share of injuries in the past, revealed that at present, his body is in good shape.
