“Dai Dai,” the Official Song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup by Shakira and Burna Boy, has been certified 2× Platinum (Latin) in the United States.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the Sony Latin release from the official FIFA World Cup 2026 soundtrack has surpassed 120,000 equivalent units from streams and sales in the U.S. as of July 9, 2026.
In June, “Dai Dai” debuted at No. 75 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Burna Boy’s 10th career entry on the chart and Shakira’s 31st. The milestone also made Burna Boy the Nigerian artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries in history.
The song’s global success has also fueled Burna Boy’s streaming milestones. Following its release, he became the first African artist to surpass 50 million monthly listeners in Spotify history.
“Dai Dai” has spent six non-consecutive days at No. 1 on the Global Spotify chart, averaging more than 4 million daily streams. It is also the first official FIFA World Cup song to reach No. 1 on the Global Spotify chart. Burna Boy becomes the first African artist to reach No. 1 on the Global Spotify chart since Wizkid achieved the feat a decade ago and his firsts time ever at the top of the chart on July 1. Wizkid’s global chart milestone came with “One Dance” alongside Drake, which reached No. 1 in 2016, 10 years ago.
Since its release on May 15, the track has amassed more than 154 million streams on Spotify.
Internationally, “Dai Dai” is now eligible for Gold certification in France, having surpassed 100,000 units in the country.
The song also marks another historic achievement for Shakira, who becomes the first Latin artist to record four FIFA World Cup songs. Her previous World Cup anthems include “Hips Don’t Lie (Bamboo)” (2006), “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” (2010), and “La La La (Brazil 2014)” (2014).
Shakira and Burna Boy are also set to perform “Dai Dai” together on July 19 during the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show.
