Damhixx looks to make a name for himself

Buoyed by his current song titled Tomorrow, entertainer Damhixx has declared his readiness to continue growth in the entertainment industry.

"I am youthful and packed with the creative energy to do positive things through my music. I know that I am early in the journey," said Damhixx, whose given name is Denardo Akeem Gordon. The 21-year-old, who hails from Freetown, Clarendon, said his love for the arts was made known early.

"Currently, I am recording on the Code 1 Label and Top Notch Music Production. This is growing my career positively, and I have started to see traction in the work," Damhixx said.

He said that in addition to recordings, he has performed at several events and is pleased with the results. He said that he has written all his songs and that the inspiration for the lyrics comes from everyday occurrences.

The former Free Town Primary School and Foga Road High School student said that music from the late Garnett Silk and Cocoa Tea, as well as Glen Washington and Sizzla and other positive artistes, has helped to keep him focused.

"This [entertainment industry ] is competitive and has many great talents. I have artistes who I look up to, but to build my career, I am willing to combine with anyone who is positive in the music," he said.
