Dangriga Residents Revamp Town Pier Through Community Effort

Locals in Dangriga Town are giving the pier a facelift. Used daily by fishermen, families, and visitors seeking leisure and reflection, the pier has long served as a vital gathering spot in the cultural capital of Belize. The community members have joined forces to repair damaged planks, repaint faded sections, and clear away debris. Love News Dangriga Correspondent Harry Arzu met with the individuals attempting to breathe new life into the structure. 

A major issue in Dangriga is the accumulation of Sargassum. Local resident speaking to Love News explained that this is unlike he has ever seen in his lifetime.
