JLP candidate for West Portland, Daryl Vaz is batting for the success of his neighbouring constituencies in the September 3 general election.
He was speaking Wednesday night at a rally in Dover square.
West Portland is bordered to the west by South East St Mary, where the JLP’s Dr Norman Dunn is going up against the PNP’s Christopher Brown.
It also shares borders with East Rural St Andrew, West St Thomas and East Portland.
All three were represented by the JLP in the previous parliament.
In East Rural St Andrew, Juliet Holness is seeking third term.
James Robertson is seeking to retake West St Thomas for a fifth consecutive term.
And in East Portland, the JLP’s Ann Marie Vaz is seeking a second full term.
Mrs Vaz is being challenged by the PNP’s Isat Buchanan.
At the Dover rally, dubbed Border Clash, Mr Vaz urged Labourites to go out early and in their numbers to vote next Wednesday.
