David Thomas’ Double Double Not Enough for Legends in Hotsteppers Clash

David Thomas scored a game high 18 points and 15 rebounds but couldn’t stop Majesty Gardens Legends from going down 56-55 against Delacree Park Hotsteppers in game-1 of their best of three GK ONE, SDF Howard McCatty Community Basketball league at the Edgewater courts, last night.

Howard Daley scored 13 points, and Akeme Brown 10 points and 19 rebounds for the Hotsteppers.

Meanwhile, Edgewater Wolverines were awarded points over Phoenix Netrippers who failed to show for their game.

Wolverines lead series 1-0.

Over at Calabar court, Caribbean Basketball Association narrowly beat Bridgeport Crocs 54-51 in the opening game of their three match series.

Derjean Royale had 19 points and 9 rebounds, with Jahidi Campbell scored 13 points for CBA.

And Grants Penn Giants beat Linkup All Stars 69-49.

Rasheed Hammond led the scoring with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the Giants.
