Guarding and security technology solutions provider, Guardsman, has announced the promotion of David Alexander Whittaker as Group managing director, effective August 1.
Whittaker has been with Guardsman for over 17 years, his most recent role being deputy group managing director.
Other roles have included chief internal auditor, general manager, and CEO.
The company says in his most recent role, Whittaker was instrumental in guiding the group through a period of restructuring and stabilisation, while driving operational improvements and enhancing internal subsidiary collaboration.
It says he has a proven ability to foster innovation, align teams, and deliver results.
For that, Guardsman says Whittaker is exceptionally well-suited to lead the group into its next phase of development.
Guardsman has been in operation since 1977.
It provides solutions in security, property, hospitality and outsourcing in over 13 companies across nine countries.
